The USS Midway: America's Longest Serving Aircraft Carrier of the 20th Century

I recently visited the USS Midway Museum in San Diego. The USS Midway (CV-41), America's longest serving aircraft carrier of the 20th Century, is now a floating museum. It was my second time aboard. I had previously visited in 2007, three years after the museum opened to the public. It was a nice museum in 2007. It is a spectacular museum today. The staff has done an outstanding job with the exhibits, the interactive tours, and so many knowledgeable docents that answers to questions were readily available throughout the ship.

While aboard, I interviewed ship historian Karl Zingheim about the Midway, the World War II battle for which she is named, and her current status as a museum.
