Nevada's Valley of Fire is Spectacular!

I've been in Las Vegas for two weeks reporting on the new Sphere entertainment venue (both the U2 concert and the "Postcard from Earth" film), interviewing Mark Hall-Patton (from The History Channel show "Pawn Stars”), and attending the AAPEX/SEMA Show.

What most people know about Las Vegas is its reputation as "Sin City." But there is so much more to this fabulous city. Of the 13 nights in Vegas on this trip, I only drank alcohol one night. And I didn't do any gambling at all. Yet it has been fun and memorable.

Outside the glitz and glamour of the Las Vegas Strip and Fremont Street, this area boasts some incredible natural beauty at Red Rock Canyon National Park and Valley of Fire State Park. I've been to both many times. This trip, I only visited Valley of Fire, which I think is the better of the two.

I encourage you to visit Las Vegas sometime because the city offers a one-of-a-kind experience. If you do visit, be sure to allocate enough time to see the natural beauty that awaits within easy driving distance of the casinos. Viva Las Vegas!
